    • Though madam stopped her Valparin which she had been taking right from age 1 ½ years, there were no more convulsions since we started with Rajul madam’s therapy.
    • When we make her sit she tries to get up by keeping her legs straight.
    • She enjoys to play Casio on her own for atleast half an hour.
    • She likes to do hand activity like picking up balls and putting it into basket.
    • She uses her left hand very well and her left hand grip has improved.
    • She is doing balancing on the ball with very less support.

    Visible Progress

    • She does sit ups in the sand on her own.
    • She does activities in the sand which she was not doing earlier.
    • She now response well socially. She tries to talk with others who come to our place
    • Sometimes she answers to the question by saying hnn…
    • She is now looking on the right side which she was avoiding earlier.
    • Once we switched off the fan she looked up and shouted, and when we switched on the fan she started laughing.
    • Maahi had lot of cold and when the water comes out of her nose she starts crying and then when we wipe it she starts playing again.

    • We were out often as my father-in-law was admitted to hospital. As soon as we come home and if we don’t call her name, she starts crying; after I lift her she is very happy. Her father was in the hospital for 2 days so she had not seen him, so when he came home she was not allowing him to move from her side. If he gets up she starts crying, and as soon as he comes and sits besides her she is happy. Now she has started showing need of her parents which was not there earlier.
    • She gives hugs to her mother and father only and no one else. My sister-in- law tried so many times but she didn’t do it.
    • Maahi has reduced her weight from 31 kgs to 17 kg now.
    • As soon as she sees her papa she starts saying pa pa. This papa word comes when her father comes home. When her father is not there she only babbles g, ga, h, ba, ba.
    • She moves when she is in sleeping position. When she is sitting she tries to move forward. She swings a lot when she is sitting. She turns on both sides when she is in sleeping position. She is trying to reach newspaper, plastic bags, mobile, remote etc from a long distance. When she gets up from her sleep and she finds something is there on her top, she takes it and also from the sides on her own.
    • She holds the ball very nicely with one hand as well both the hands. Now she has started using her left hand nicely.
    • Earlier we found that she doesn’t want to do dog to cobra on her own. So we have done one trick and gave her 5 counts, which she has to do on her own, and after doing 5 counts we help her to complete 10 counts. Now we have reached 25 counts which she has to do without support. Similar way we applied trick on reverse table where we reach 20 counts.
    • Now she is allowing brush twice a day.
    • She has become very choosy about her toys. If we keep all toys in front of her she chooses which ever she wants. She picks up and plays with it.
    • She wants newspaper which we are reading not which we give to her. She snatches it from our hands.
    • She gets excited when we talk to her. She is giving good response to us.
    • When she is standing in the sand if we talk to her she becomes very happy and with this we do sit ups. She has a routine to go to bed after having done her sponge bath.
    • Now we enjoy talking with her as she responds so well.
    • Now when we carry her she keeps both her hands lightly on our shoulder.
    • She is responding when we call her name.
    • Her hands have become strong. She takes weight on her hands. Now she does crawling happily.
    • She likes to move around. She likes to roam in her pram. She likes to crawl.
    • She cries when she wants to come from bedroom to hall or sit up on the bed or roam in her pram
    • Since October Maahi is on special diet for last 3 months. 1st month she was only on fruits, vegetables, jiggery water and castor oil. Then she was allowed to have vaghaar waali sabji. She was on this veg for 15 days, from last 1and half month she is on rajgra flour, and rice, moong, yellow dal, fruits and veg.
    • After her diet has started we found following changes:
      a)Her understanding improved,
      b) Her back has loosened,
      c) She is moving while sitting,
      d) From last 3 to 4 days some movement has come on paatlaa,
      e) Her response has increased,
      f) Earlier she did not watch TV, but now she watches for few minutes,
      g) Earlier she was not looking up for the toys, now she looks up to toys tied on the string and tries to take them.

    She has become very choosy about her toys. If we keep all toys in front of her she chooses which ever she wants. She picks up and plays with it.

    Visible Progress

    • Her squint has reduced. Her focusing has increased.
    • Now she is socializing more with other children. She likes to interact with them. She tries to call them and looks at them.
    • Now she shows her interest, likes, dislikes, choice of toys.
    • She is doing camel on her own.
    • She plays with both hands in kneeling position while doing sit ups on the ball.
    • She is doing dog to cobra for 50 to 70 times on her own.
    • She is doing nice communication with us especially mother and father.
    • She does her potty early in the morning.
    • She starts babbling to call after she has done potty.
    • Her lower back has loosened up.
    • Now she makes sound aaaaaa…to call me if she has done potty.
    • Her eye contact has improved.
    • Now sometimes she follows our instructions.
    • She has started eating all the fruits, which she was not eating before like that.

    Now she shows her interest, likes, dislikes, choice of toys.

    • When she is on the stomach on the bed, she tries to move.
    • Now Maahi moves forward in paatlaa. Before she used to go backward.
    • She is doing sit ups on her own.
    • When kept on double bad, she moves around the whole bed.
    • Standing in the corner and doing sit ups, she is doing very nicely. She does 50-55 sit ups without any break and also happily.
    • Now she stays on her knee, holding the bed. We just give her little push and she gets up in kneeling position.
    • Her eyes have become quite normal.
    • Now she is moving her neck on both the side. Before she used to see only on left side now she sees on both the sides.
    • She likes to be with others, also with other children. She calls them by saying hmm..hmm…
    • She stays stable in kneeling position only with 1hand support

    • Her standing has improved. She can stand continuously for 1 hour without sitting.
    • Whenever she stands lots of water comes from her nose.
    • Her gas problem has almost gone after we started standing.
    • Her potty problem has decreased a lot. Now she gets loose potty.
    • Now we feel that she is following our instruction like when we give something with spoon she holds the spoon with her teeth. Than we just say ‘leave’ she leaves the spoon immediately.
    • She has lost her weight little.
    • Maahi’s both hands are going up very well especially left hand. Her left hand has opened up quite well.
    • Even her neck has opened up well. Now she looks well on her right side which was not that before.
    • Her Left hand which was going dystonic way has improved a lot.
    • Her Left shoulder has loosened.

    Now we feel that she is following our instruction like when we give something with spoon she holds the spoon with her teeth. Than we just say ‘leave’ she leaves the spoon immediately.

  • Sep '12 to Mar '13

    • Mahi began to do standing from sitting position excellently in the month of September.  She is able to control herself very well.  She is also trying to take a few steps forward.  We were very happy to see her stand on her own from sitting posture; we never imagined that she will do this someday.
    • We would like to mention that previously her convulsions were controlled by medicines, but now we see that she has no convulsions from last 3 years despite discontinuation of her medicines.
    • She had a habit of flapping her legs which is markedly reduced than before.
    • Neck movements have improved on both the sides.
    • The stiffness all over the body has reduced.
    • She was having constipation previously, but now she passes her stools daily though sometimes she has gas problems.
    • Socially she has improved a lot.  Now she can stay in party even if there is loud voice.  She tries to interact with other children by saying hnhnhn....
    • Her immunity has increased a lot. She used to have cold and cough very often. Now she doesn’t have any cold and cough problems at all.
    • She was very obese when we started the therapy, and now almost lost 13 Kg weight after joining Dr. Vasa’s active and rigorous therapy.
    • For the first time in month of March she stayed in the party with loud music for 3 hrs with lots of people around her.  Previously she used to get frightened of the noise and the people around and wouldn’t stay at all at any functions as such.  We couldn’t take her to any family get-togethers.
    • After going to school she has become social in the sense she tries to interact with other children. Her gripping of the object has improved.
    • Now Maahi balances herself while standing. Sometimes we are able to leave her all by herself for 2 seconds or so.
    • She is doing situps very actively. She understands the concept of situps. (sit to stand)
    • Now when we call her to take her somewhere out, she immediately comes forward so that we can pick her up.
    • Her walking is better with little support under her arms and push given to her ankles. Sometimes she takes her left leg forward on her own, without our push.
